Care-Pets Animal Hospital Careers
The dedicated veterinary staff of Care-Pets Animal Hospital located in the beautiful town of Sellersburg, Indiana has been serving its local community for over 35 years. We enjoy a varied caseload of small animal and pocket pets. We strive to provide our patients with quality medical care, compassion, and comfort while also providing our clients with great service. We love our loyal support staff that consists of experienced technicians and veterinary assistants. We enjoy a diverse medical and surgical caseload in a fun, laid-back environment. Our practice also recognizes the importance of emotional wellness for pets and is committed to implementing Fear Free tools, protocols, knowledge to reduce fear, anxiety and stress in patients. We have 4 exam rooms, separate surgery and dental suites, and are equipped with a class IV laser, digital radiography, and dental radiography.

Veterinarian
This new facility provided much-needed additional space. The spacious lobby and four exam rooms were designed with the comfort of our patients, clients, and staff in mind. The new facility also provided the necessary space to accommodate all of our specialized diagnostic procedures including a surgery suite, radiology, and lab to name a few.
Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

USD $100,000.00 – USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
